Nowadays, you can choose whether departure at Jeti Muara, close to the Maritime Museum easily recognizable by the replica of the Portuguese ship Flor De la Mar or Taman Rempah jetty where the boat turns around and brings you back to the starting point. This shuttle ride of the river cruise boat only takes about 45 minutes.

You can view the uniqueness of the houses at Malacca because the both side of the river was shop houses relics of the Dutch era, traditional Malay houses and many other interesting sights of world heritage relics. These buildings are also painted with an overview of the history of Malacca, indirectly it providing knowledge to boat passengers throughout their shuttle ride.

Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex

Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex is one of the facilities that are provided by Melaka State Government in order to study and to explore the growth and the mystery of the universe. Melaka Mufti Department has been honored to realizing the State Government's ambition.

There were three main buildings in the Complex, which are the observatory, the Planetarium and the Training Centre. 

In the expansion of Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex, Malaysian has the opportunity to study and appreciate astronomy deeper.

Stadthuys

The old Dutch Stadthuys is located right next to the square (known as the Dutch Square) where you can also find the Christ Church. There is a guided tour inside the building.

St. Pauls Cathedral

Near the famous Christ Church and the Stadhuys you will see the entrance to the path that leads up to the top of the hill called Bukit St. Paul; where you can find the ruins of the old St. Pauls Cathedral. Visit this attraction in the early morning to avoid the crowds and to enjoy a much cooler weather.

Porta de Santiago (A Famosa)

Right below Bukit St. Paul there is another sight that you should visit when you are in Malacca; Porta de Santiago or A Famosa. This is where you can see the ruins of a Portuguese fortress.

Jonker Street

Jonker Street is where tourists can enjoy the popular night market during weekends. Foreigner especially from China or Taiwan loves to shopping and have their dinner here. Besides many street vendors that sell all kinds of stuff (including typical souvenirs) there are also many places to eat or enjoy a snack or drink.

Portuguese Settlement

Located along the coast of Malacca, at a 10 minute drive from the city center. Here you can still breathe the Portuguese atmosphere, this is the place where the descendants of the Portuguese still live. Numerous small hawkers sell fresh fish, Portuguese style.

Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum

HISTORY

At the beginning of the 16th century, merchants and entrepreneurs were lured to Malacca’s shores due to stories of the city’s burgeoning success and wealth. In particular the city saw an influx of Chinese traders who arrived in droves in an effort to escape Manchu rule. These entrepreneurs went on to marry local Malay women – descendants of these marriages were known as Peranakan or ‘Straits-born Chinese’.

Their relative success resulted in these expatriate merchants becoming the principal wealth catalysts of the thriving city. The ‘Babas’ (male Sino-Malays) flaunted their affluence by purchasing Dutch townhouses and transforming them into out-and-out palaces. The interiors of these homes were opulent and stuffed to the tee with Dutch-influenced fixtures including hand-painted tiles and Victorian lamps.

MUSEUM

Located at No. 48-50 along Jalan Tun Cheng Lock in Malacca, the Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum is actually a collection of three beautifully restored houses arranged to look like a typical 19th-cenutry Baba-Nyonya residence. Excellent examples of Chinese-Palladian style, these townhouses, built in 1896, were transformed into a traditional Peranakan museum in later years; connected by a common covered footway, the museum features hand-painted tiles, elaborately carved teakwood outer swing doors and a sturdier internal door which provides extra security. Framed by Greco-Roman columns, two red lanterns, one bearing a household name and the other messages of good luck, hang on either side of the entrance.

The upper level of the house has a short canopy of Chinese tiles above the portico which frames the almost-Venetian shuttered windows. Boasting distinctively east-meets-west allure, the glass windows feature wrought-iron grilles and the eaves and fascias are covered with painted, floral designs. Inside the house there’s a collection of gold-leaf fixtures, Chinese- and Dutch-design black wood furniture inlaid with mother of pearl as well as skilfully carved lacquer screens and Victorian chandeliers.

The best parts of this tour are the guides who regal guests with Baba Nyonya tales of yore with noticeable Peranakan wit during the informative 45-minute tours.

A FAMOSA RESORT

✿❀Taman Seribu Bunga ❀✿

Do you ever heard about a garden that full with flowers?? We want to introduce a garden that has a thousand type of flower in Melaka. That is “Taman Seribu Bunga” or “garden a thousand flowers”. For your information this garden was launched by our former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in 2007.

This garden was located beside the “Seri Negeri” or we know as Office of the Chief Minister of Melaka.  How about the parking and entrance fee?? Don’t worry because the parking area was provided and there no charge for it and for you to enter the garden.

This garden not only has flowers but it also has lookout tower,up of this tower...you can see a “beduk” and from this tower also you can see the beautiful view of “Seri Negeri”… we had seen it before..

Other that lookout tower, in this garden also had a well that contain “air bumi”…

In this garden also have some replica of Malay’s Melaka houses where you can enter the house.

At the center of this garden, there has a pond and fountains. It's look beautiful..

Do you ever heard about “lebah kelulut”?? If you never heard about it.. We suggest you to go here because in this garden also had some area that you can see by your own eyes… all the bee flies around you… You also can see its beehive here. Other than, here also have a mini museum about it bee. There are some pictures of the bees.

This garden will often visited by bridal couple who want to take their wedding photos as scenery in the garden is perfectly suited to this kind of activity. The scenery is so beautiful in the camera lens.

Beside of shooting activities, the visitor also can do a slow jogging on the track that provided there.
